CareVantage completes its most recent acquisition of Dr. Miguel Gonzalez of Hollywood, Fl., adding over seven hundred managed care and medicare lives to CareVantage’s South Broward facility. This addition brings the amount of CareVantage’s capitated managed care lives to well over one thousand members.

CareVantage enters into a purchase contract of a premier medical practice located in Hollywood, Fl. The practice was established in the early 1990’s and brings aboard a certified top rated internal medicine physician to the CareVantage physician family. The acquisition is scheduled to close on October 1, 2013 and will be CareVantage’s star acquisition thus far by adding more than six hundred managed care lives as well as adding additional Medicare patients to CareVantage’s care.

CareVantage officially welcomes Dr. Manuel Fernandez to the CareVantage physician family. This addition brings aboard over three hundred managed care patients as well as Dr. Fernandez accepting the position of the active Medical Director for all CareVantage’s Dade county facilities.

CareVantage launches its second phase of growth and expansion with the purchase and start of construction of CareVantages new location in Westchester located in west Miami, Fl. This new facility will follow suit with all of CareVantage’s high standards and available features offered of in house services and is scheduled to open in early September 2013.

CareVantage opens its affiliate company, PMTS, a transportation company consisting of a fleet of eight new vehicles. Each of the PMTS vehicles are all equipped with wheelchair lifts and feature full standing room interiors allowing for personalized transportation services to be available to all CareVantage members traveling to and from all CareVantage facilities, Specialty appointments and CareVantage social functions. Through, PMTS, CareVantage completes another step in the direction of setting itself apart from other medical centers and healthcare companies in the surrounding area.

CareVantage hosts its highly anticipated grand opening of the CareVantage Medical Center of South Broward located in Hollywood, Fl. The opening of this new state of the art medical center marks the change in the delivery of healthcare services previously available within Broward County.

CareVantage signs the lease to its newest facility offering over approximately 7,000 square feet of available space located on 441 and Sheridan Blvd. in Hollywood, Fl. This new site allows for the relocation of CareVantage’s H&L medical facility, located and operating a short 1.5 miles away, granting CareVantage’s patients, health plans and the residents of Broward county the availability of the most modernized and complete full medical and social services facility unlike any other facility located within the surrounding area.

CareVantage completes the purchase of its Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software system from and industry-leading company, Isalus Healthcare, based in St. Louis, MO. “We will convert all 100% of our active member records into our new EMR system in order to continue with the modernization of the companies medical records and delivery of healthcare”.

H&L Medical Center of Hialeah completes its facility remodeling and the installation of its new equipment allowing the facility to better serve and provide care to its members. The newly completed design of the facility includes and offers its members access to its social services, beauty salon, cafeteria as well as four new patient exam rooms.

CareVantage and respected Miami Dade College of Medicine enter into an agreement making rotating internships available to the college’s students throughout all of CareVantage’s medical center facilities. This relationship adds value, experience and opportunity to both organizations.

CareVantage completes and enters into a joint venture relationship with a well-known pillar within South Florida’s Chiropractic community and opens a new medical center located in Miami Shores. The addition of this new center not only broadens the CareVantage coverage area, but also will focus on delivering healthcare services to the North Miami community.

CareVantage completes the closing of its first acquisition, H&L Medical Centers, consisting of three medical centers located in Miami Dade and Broward county. All of the existing employees of each center will remain in their positions as they play an important role in this new venture.
